It’s always great to see Florida recognized as the most desirable state to live in—especially for those of us who get to call SW Florida home. Nashville, Denver, and San Diego continue to lead as top metro areas, but there’s something special about our corner of paradise. With low crime, affordable living, and beautiful weather listed as key factors, it’s no surprise that so many dream of making the move here. Yet, 54% of Americans say they can’t afford to relocate to their preferred spot. As someone who’s guided many families through both real estate and mortgage decisions, I’ve seen firsthand how important these factors are when choosing where to put down roots. Chicago may have ranked as the least desirable, but here in Naples, it’s easy to see why Florida keeps topping the list.
